Since it is said that 'a picture is worth a thousand words', I figured, why not say 30,000 words using a 3 minute video clip instead. :) (I have a feeling there's going to be a lot of videos ahead here at 'fuzion'...Alaska.)
Dave (my personal photographer and husband) and I plan to take his Nikon D300 with us everywhere we go to capture the vast beauty of Alaska as it unfolds from it's icy wintery wonderland into an ocean of greenery, jagged mountains, winding streams, flowing rivers and quaint little towns. (I may even learn how to press the power button to the camera this year).
On our adventures I also look forward to exploring 'nook and cranny' gardens, spectacular residential gardens (including perennial and vegetable) of friends and family, spotlighting some of Alaska's most accomplished gardener's including Bobbie Jackson of Jackson Gardens, and my personal favorite: container gardens here in the 'big' city of Anchorage, Alaska, (population 280,000).
